Speech is generated by Kokoro, a modern neural text-to-speech engine with dozens of voices -- warm, clear, and easy to listen to for long sessions. If the app is ever unavailable, the extension falls back to your system voice so reading never stops.
Private by design, not by promise
The browser extension and the VibeAI Voice app talk only over your own machine's loopback address, authenticated with a token and a pinned cryptographic identity. Even on your own computer, nothing gets to impersonate the app.
